The attackers of Malala Yousufzai, the 14-year-old Pakistani blogger who was shot at by members of the Taliban on Tuesday, have been identified, Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Thursday. He said that the culprits would be brought to justice.

Malik added that he is satisfied with the treatment Yousufzai is receiving at the hands of Pakistani doctors and that there was no need to send her abroad for treatment.

Yousufzai’s injuries are being treated at Pakistan’s Combined Military Hospital (CMH). Doctors have succeeded in removing a bullet that pierced her head and got lodged in her shoulder.

The 14-year-old winner of Pakistan’s National Peace Award for Youth has been fearlessly blogging against the Taliban’s excesses in their stronghold of Swat. She has received several threats in the past.
