Urdu daily Sahafat alleges bias against MuslimsIn its January 5, 2013 issue, Urdu daily Sahafat claimed that cases against Urdu newspapers are always meant for inciting communal hatred and hurting religious sentiments. However, these cases are false and filed with religious prejudices.

The daily also claimed that similar news was spread against Ittihad ul Muslimeen MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi on television, newspaper and radio. There is an old history of inflammatory speeches in which Muslims and Urdu newspapers are targeted on the basis of intelligence reports, but the conditions of these intelligence departments are such that there is not a single person in these departments who knows Urdu.
