BJP, Panthers Party condemn Pakistani resolution, demand counter resolutionBJP and the Jammu & Kashmir Panthers Party on Saturday demanded a counter resolution to be passed in the Jammu & Kashmir Assembly against the resolution passed by Pakistan on Afzal Guru’s execution and the status of Kashmir.

MLAs of both the parties were seen standing on benches and shouting slogans in the J&K Assembly, demanding a resolution against Pakistan, similar to the one passed in the national Parliament.

On Friday, both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha passed a resolution condemning Pakistan’s resolution on Afzal Guru, and reaffirmed India’s sovereignty over the whole the Jammu & Kashmir.

“Pakistan has made an attempt to wrest Jammu & Kashmir, which is an integral part of our country, and has sought help from the international community to this end,” senior BJP member Yashwant Sinha, on Friday said in the Rajya Sabha.

Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley also launched strong criticism against the resolution, saying that India should stop all dialogues with the neighbouring country.
