It would be easy to blame nature for the disaster that has left unimaginable death and destruction in its wake; it would also be untruthful to do so. The fact, and perhaps this is the best time to state it unambiguously, which most of us are reluctant to accept but can’t be wished away is that what we are witnessing in Uttarakhand is a manmade tragedy.
