Babulal Nagar had threatened to kill me: Rape victim
Former Rajasthan Minister Babulal Nagar, who is facing charges of raping a 35-year-old women at his official residence, had allegedly called the victim at his bungalow on pretext of offering her a Government job. According to the victim, Nagar had had asked her not to expose him otherwise she would meet the fate of Bhanwari Devi.
This has been said by the victim, a resident of Heerapura Power House area of Jaipur, in her police complaint.
According to the victim, the Nagar had called on her phone on September 11 and asked her to meet at his official residence in Jaipur’s Civil Lines area. On being asked the reason for the meeting, the Minister said he wanted to meet her for some urgent work.
When she reached there, Nagar told her that recruitment is going on in many Government departments and if she wished, he can get her a job. After this, the he went to another room from where he called the victim asking her to come there. As the victim went inside, she was raped by the former Minister. She cried to seek help, but none come to her rescue.
The victim also informed a reporter that she had teeth-byte mark on her body which the Congress leader had made during the monstrous act. Nagar also told the victim that if she wanted a prosperous career growth, she would have to compromise.
When the victim was leaving Nagar’s residence, the former Minister asked her not to expose him otherwise she would meet the same fate like Bhanwari Devi, who has gone missing since 2011 end and is suspected to be killed after the surfacing of a similar sex scandal in which another Congress leader and former Minister Mahipal Maderna is an accused.
The victim further said that first she was very scared but after sharing the whole incident with her kin, a case was registered in this matter.
