Want to see more of Indian cinema at Cannes, says Shah Rukh Khan
Bollywood ‘Baadshah’ recalls the time when he represented India at Cannes Film Festival. He attended Cannes Film Festival in 2002, when ‘Devdas’ was screened there even when it was not competing.
Shah Rukh is presently in Cannes to attend the wedding of Karan Grover who is the son of British socialite Pamela Grover.
Indian film industry has been seen actively participating at many international film festivals and Shah Rukh said that he is looking forward to bring more of Indian cinema to Cannes.
“At Cannes after years… Memories come flooding back of ‘Devdas’. Insha Allah will come here to represent India with more beautiful films”, Shah Rukh tweeted on Sunday night.
Apart from King Khan, actor Tusshar Kapoor is also in Cannes to attend the big fat Indian wedding.
Actor expressed his excitement for being at Cannes as he tweeted on Sunday, “In Cannes now for a big fat Indian destination wedding. Both for first time! Still getting used to all the paraphernalia! (seplt correct).”
