Delhi hospital dumps infant’s dead body in waste truck, AAP Health Minister denies to act
In an inhuman act, a Delhi hospital dumped the dead body of an female infant, who reportedly died hours after birth, in its waste truck even after charging Rs 1500 to keep the it at its mortuary.
But when the matter was brought into the notice of AAP leader and Health Minister Satyendra Jain, he denied to taken any action saying, the reporters should inform hospital MD or the MS about it.
The act of AAP Minister is being widely criticised by the people as the party tried to woo the electorate in the recently concluded Assembly poll in Delhi promising to change the system.
According to reports, the infant was taken to Mata Channan Devi Memorial Hospital in west Delhi’s Janakpuri after her birth at a nursing home. It is said that she was born with congenital defects. But she died at 1:30 am on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. The hospital authorities charged Rs 1500 from her father to keep the dead body at the mortuary.
But when the baby’s father visited the hospital along with his relatives to collect the dead body, it could not be found at the mortuary. On inquiring about their baby, a hospital sweeper took them to a waste truck and brought out a packet from it in which the body was wrapped.
The family members informed imminently informed the police and media about the entire episode after which a probe has been started to inquire about the lapses on part of the hospital.
