BJP on Tuesday hit out at the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his comments that Republic Day parade is only about processions, saying he has hurt patriotic sentiments by demeaning Republic Day. BJP said Kejriwal’s comment was bad in taste and Chief Minister should apologize for saying so.
“The irresponsible statements made by Arvind Kejriwal and his supporters are an insult to the republic of India,” said leader of BJP legislative party Harsh Vardhan.
Threatening to hinder Republic Day parade, Kejriwal had said that Rajpath on 26th January, will be thronged by lakhs of his supporters and not the tableau if their demands are not met.
Earlier, terming Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal led-Aam Admi Party agitation as ‘anarchic and a gimmick’, BJP on Monday said the Aam Aadmi Party should give up its mock fight with ally Congress and instead take up its issues regarding conduct of police with the Centre.
