The attacks on Hindu leaders in Tamil Nadu raise several questions which need to be answered by the government and also meant for introspection by the Hindu organisations:
1. Why is it that the Government or the Hindu organisations have not taken any steps to provide adequate security to their top functionaries in spite of these attacks happening for two decades now?
2. Several Hindu leaders seem to ignore threats or intelligence inputs received regarding possible attacks. This is a terrible blunder for which we are paying heavily today.
3. Why is there no public response in Tamil Nadu to such deadly attacks, through non-violent protests, campaigns and condemnations?
4. If Hindu organisations and parties like the BJP cannot save their own leaders and functionaries from terrorist attacks, how can they claim to provide freedom from terror to the common public when they are voted to power?
